Oh technology.. it is a wonderful thing. I have not succumbed to getting the i-Pad yet, but I am sure that it is just a matter of time before I finally bite the Apple and purchase the darn thing. When did I become my parents regarding anything electronic? I still call my i-pod my walkman..Oh technology, it is a wonderful thing.

For those of you who ARE with the times and have purchased that swanky I Pad, there are some really cool apps out for those who love interior and landscape design. Check these out!

HOUZZ

One of my favorite sites right now is Houzz. If you love to look at pictures and get some fabulous design ideas, this place will not disappoint. Find everything from Japanese Style Bathroom Design to traditional styles. Upload some of your own project and let others get inspiration from you.

Remodelista

Here is place you can go where you feel as if you are reading a glossy interior magazine, yet finding the sources to buy the item as well. The editors of the site choose a product of the week (ie soaking tubs) and show their top picks of what is on the market and where to get them.

Room Design for I Pad

A floor plan designer that lets you customize measurements and furniture layout. It works in 2D and gives you the option to work in full color or black and white. Customize the flooring and architectural elements, and stage the room with over 800 pieces of furniture items. Unsure if you should place the Victorian bath in front of the window, or in the middle of the master bath? Check it out on Room Design first.

MoodBoard

For you interior designers out there, or those who like to get a visual concept of their design project. This app helps you to create concept boards, showing color schemes, furniture and tile choices just to name a few. Not only can you create concept boards, but this app can be used for event planning such as weddings or graduation parties or graphic and fashion design projects. The handy photo crop tool lets you import photos from your Photo Library or the web and the link will be saved for you.

MySurface

This app from Dupont is great for giving you ideas for tiles texture and color schemes. Choose from their long list of DuPont™ Corian® solid surface and Zodiaq® quartz surfaces.
